Style Challenge: Foggy Folklore Horror

😱

I’d call this misty marvel: “Tea with the Abyss.”

And the prestigious Staredown of the Century Award goes to… this tiny Victorian warrior squaring off with a horned horror straight from a sleep paralysis episode. I mean, if you’ve never negotiated peace terms with a 20-foot demon before breakfast, are you even trying?

This piece gets the “Best Use of Fog to Enhance Existential Dread” prize. For style? That’s Neo-Gothic Nightmare Realism with a Hint of Childhood Bravery™.
