And I certainly hear you about the mislabeling depiction of a country's fashion and culture. For example, not every male German owns a pair of "Lederhosen", far from that. 

While I do have leather trousers come on these are meant for motorcycling, a _little_ bit different in style and purpose.

Don't be silly, all *Bavarians* wear lederhosen 24/7 and all the women have the white frilly blouse on and spend their entire waking life serving beer in huge steins! Every Scotsman I know wears kilts daily! I've never seen a Norwegian, including my dad, in anything other than plaited hair and a horned helmet! Honestly! It was very confusing for my Japanese mum, the obvious offspring of a samurai and a geisha, to have to deal with going to the shop in Stavanger by longboat, I tell you! I've never met an Irishman who isn't drinking Guinness 24/7 and the last time I was in Amsterdam my toes nearly fell off as I wasn't used to being constantly trod on by wooden clogs when I went to stay inside a windmill full of tulips. 

Don't even get me started about all the Italians I met claiming they had invented pasta and the austrians claiming they had invented schnitzel. 

Truly an interesting story about this recipe, apparently and high ranking officer in the Austrian army was eating schnitzel in... Milano, if I recall correctly. 

They were given the recipe telegraphed that to Vienna, as a military secret. 

And now most of the world will look funny at you when you order schnitzel in a Italian restaurant where they invented that, presuming it was an Austrian invention when it was not.

 And the Schnitzel dishes are likely to be tastier in a truly Italian restaurant or cooking with Italian recipes at least than even their Pizza or Pasta. 

Not pasta though, that very idea came from way further to the east. 😉

I am telling you all the honest truth.

After all, Google images is full of highland cows erroneously labelled as yak. 

Pretty hairdo with some kanzashi and a colourful kimono? 

Heck, must be a geisha! 

After all, NC is full of images of everyone wearing some sort of kimono being labelled as geisha. So it must be true....

Objective reality doesn't exist in AI data sets and their results. AI is full of mistakes. Compounding them by mislabelling, tagging, publishing etc more and more images of "geisha" without knowing what objectively, a geisha looks like (and what maiko are) is problematic ignorance of Japanese culture.  

Nothing will stop anyone constantly creating these "pretty exotic women" endlessly. But some seem to encourage it more than others.

How would you all feel if your own country's culture was constantly distorted for basically, entertainment?

Bit depressing isn't it? Frustrating. Laughable. Ironic. Unkind. Annoying.
