Morgayne

Morgayne the mermaid queen younger sister of Rilla the mermaid that married the human king Darksaith Maullulas in ancient times giving up her immortality and eventually her tail to do so. Morgayne treats all the descendants of Darksaith as her brethren with a special fondness for the line of Crimson, Morgayne is the most powerful being beneath the waves and has single handedly prevented the extinction brought on her kind by disease she is constantly using her powers to protect all within her kingdom from being destroyed by the disease the race of aqua elves that live near by and where previously at war with the mermaids still threaten her and her kingdom of Aquadore their hatred spurred on by their now diseased nature fearful it might spread to them.
