Judging is easy, understanding is not

I'd like to think that not being judgmental is difficult. Unfortunately, being judgmental is one of the easiest habits to get into -- and one of the hardest habits to break.

Being understanding takes persistent effort, and a lifetime to imperfectly master., One reason for this, I suppose, is that empathy can be uncomfortable, and at times even painful.
