This is a very cute, adorable design, indeed, and the glowing, iridescent blue lights in the eyes is a master stroke. Surprisingly, I haven't seen a whole lot of images pursuing that sort of level of detail, but it really helps lift the overall quality of the image as a whole. I made sure to go a similar route with my own Daily Challenge submission (although I took a far different stylistic approach):
