Part XIX -- Prisoners

Embyrn and Tyelion were thoroughly searched for any weapons once more, then shoved inside a cell on the third floor of the prison. Rusty iron shackles were fastened around their wrists and ankles, but then the guards retreated from the cell. The iron door slammed with a thunderous CLANG that echoed a thousand times over in the stone cell. Tyelion clasped his head in his hands and groaned as the noise aggravated his headache. Embyrn merely gritted her teeth against the cacophony and scooted close to her friend as he sat down heavily with his back against the cold, moist wall.

The cell was incredibly chilly and Embyrn, clad only in a thin tunic and pants, shivered. Tyelion wrapped his arm around her shoulders and drew her closer to him.
