NOVEMBER AT THE NORTH POLE (+ polyphonic prose story)

The workshops were on the South side of town. At the North Pole, that's where Santa is usually found.

Every year, at this time, it all starts getting crazy. There's not a single elf that ever stays lazy. Sure, in the Spring and Summer, sometimes the elves are slow. It's when the Autumn leaves have fallen, just before the winter snows, that's when everything really heats up, by the hearth-fire glow.

There's so much to do before Christmas Eve, making those presents for Mike, Susan, and Steve, but Carl just thinks it's all make-believe.

I took this picture of the workshops, with elves lined up in a row, just so Carl would know. He's going to get a lump of coal.
