The flavour sounds lovely. Are they grown commercially in your neck of the woods?

Not commercially and very few have heard about them here (Canadian PNW near Vancouver). I had heard of them but never grew them. A friend gave me a packet of seeds yesterday and said when she pickled them, her son would eat an entire small bottles at one sitting! I love the old-fashioned pickles done in brine and have pickled different vegetables this way. These small "cukes" will be perfect for this!

Have you grown them yourself or found them available in stores or markets?

No, I was previously unaware of this species. I see that seeds are available from specialist suppliers of heirloom varieties.
