Devoid of Darkness

The Sateri stood frozen, their radiant forms dimmed in reverence. The battlefield, moments ago a torrent of fire and void, fell silent. Before them hovered the being—neither flesh nor flame, but essence condensed into purpose. The Nexus. Its presence pulsed with the echo of ancient harmonies, older than the void, older than time. As it opened its eyes, stars flared in distant galaxies. The void recoiled, its creatures dissolving like smoke in wind. The rifts imploded one by one, each collapse ringing with the finality of judgment. The lone Saterian, still standing, wept—not from sorrow, but from knowing balance had not abandoned them. Light, eternal and absolute, had answered the cry.
