She's on fire

She was a blazing fire, and I was a helpless moth. I could not resist the pull of her radiant heat, the lure of her dazzling light. She was my everything, my holy grail, my object of devotion. No one else could ignite such a fierce and fervent love in me. But she burned me, consumed me, and left me in ashes. I was nothing but a toy for her amusement, a broken thing to be discarded.
