POLAR BEAR

When this challenge began—nearly 100 animals ago—the mission was simple: create portraits of each featured creature. But the world of AI art has evolved dramatically since then. New tools, new styles, and new creative freedoms have opened the door to whimsy, abstraction, storytelling, and delightful experimentation.

Many entries have already drifted beyond traditional portraiture, embracing playful interpretations and imaginative scenes. To encourage this growing diversity, I’ve reset the animal list, now without species details.

Each week, feel free to submit any image that features the nominated animal—serious, surreal, humorous, painterly, chaotic, elegant, or utterly unexpected. Let the animal be your anchor, and let your creativity roam wherever it wants.
