Challenge Criteria
Umbrapunk is the unsettling premise that shadow is a place: a territory outside the grip of power because light itself is a tool of surveillance and order. It includes (but is not limited to) these motifs and themes:
- Silhouettes, eclipses, shadow puppetry, negative space, stealthy movements
- Searchlights, streetlamps, candles, light reflections
- Reflections that don’t match their source; independent shadow-selves
- Dramatic light shafts cutting through darkness, abandoned shadowed places, barely-lit rooms
- Clothes that cause irregular silhouettes; light-absorbing fabrics; hoods, masks, and veils
Images breaking NightCafe community standards will be rejected.
All models and uploads are welcome. Just keep it on-theme and PG-13!
Boosted or not, I’ll tip the winner’s circle. Good luck! 🍀
