Nyx Blighbane, Alchemist

His cousin had left a book open on his desk & the symbols & colors had caught the attention of the visiting 6-year old Nyx. When he looked at the odd writings, they were jumbled but, after a moment, they rotated into clarity. He couldn't take his eyes from them & after all 100 pages were read, he quickly looked at the book's title - "If you can read this, you should become an Alchemist" authored by Thiox Ult.

He had to tell his parents. But what if they didn't like the idea? What if they wanted him to be a metalsmith or silverworker? Didn't matter. He'd made up his mind so thumped off to find his parents & TELL them what he was going to do. Surprise smacked him they agreed & set out to talk to Ult.

30+ years later Nyx was now respected, had a successful shop of his own & his parent's love. What more could a goblin ask for?
