😊Not specifically. They had scouts in the forest, though, watching Dath and Natalya's every move. Stealth is the assassins' forte. Unfortunately, there's no magic like that in this world that I know of, but a mage-trace would be super cool! If it existed, the assassins would definitely have used it.

I realized earlier today that there is actually some type of magic in the world of Kedemar and friends, but I think it's mostly rare? This world keeps on surprising me, lol. 😁 So there probably was some type of mage-trace on Haeil, something I think all assassins have on them, and it probably has something to do with their sideways 'A' brand. I'm not sure if it can ever be removed in this world, and I also think that it's not the only type of magic here as well. This would also probably mean that the assassins have a mage working for them. So....😊

Gavin let out his breath in a rush, knowing he was beaten. Dath’s blade was sharp at his throat. “I yield.” He growled. “Louder!” Ordered Dath. “I yield!” Shouted Gavin angrily. I covered our tracks well.” Gavin turned and gestured to his men, who sheathed their swords and relaxed. He sighed, then pointed to Haeil. “Him. We found you using him.” Dath cast a stormy look at the young assassin, who blanched. “How?” Dath growled. “He was unconscious up until half an hour ago.” Gavin smiled. “You think we didn’t know he would betray us? We knew he would attempt to help Kedemar escape. Truth, we didn’t know just how well he’d succeed, but we already had watchers in the forest. We’d known you were there from the moment you arrived. When you fled, all we did was follow.” “So it was a true betrayal?” Dath asked. Gavin shrugged. “As true as any could be.”
