The Study

All those ancient manuscripts on the fireplace and so close to the candles. I'm always on edge when I visit, but years and years of undisturbed family collecting and no one remembers which bits came from where or even which family member brought what home from a myriad of adventures. There are more unread folded manuscripts on the floor, more in the chest used as a seat. There are unread tomes on the bookshelf and pots and jars with knickknacks and curios unknown. Some of the ceramics themselves are worth a pretty penny. It's almost like the collection is far more important than the curation.
