Mad MAX

"Mad Max" is a 1979 Australian dystopian action film directed by George Miller and starring Mel Gibson. The film is set in a future Australia where society has collapsed due to energy shortages and war. Gibson plays the character of Max Rockatansky, a police officer who becomes a vigilante after the death of his wife and child at the hands of a motorcycle gang. The film was a commercial success and launched Gibson's career. It also spawned two sequels, "The Road Warrior" (1981) and "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" (1985), and a fourth installment "Mad Max: Fury Road" (2015) directed by Miller and starred by Tom Hardy.
