Oga Pondune was known as the Former Commander of the 906th Legion and the leader of Omega Squad, at the time of the Clone Wars, and was mostly known to have been responsible for the foundation and establishment of the 906th Legion in 21 BBY, during the Second year of the First Year of the Clone Wars.

As the Clone Wars progressed, Pondune was described to be a brave and noble leader of the Grand Army of the Republic, but when Order 66 was initiated in 19 BBY, his true colors would be revealed, as he never attempted to try and send a rescue part to save the men of the 8th Fleet that were obliterated in the Milky Way Galaxy after entering the Blackhole, leaving only his former creation the 906th Legion and the Iona the only surviving remnant of the 8th Fleet.
