With their task completed, SG-24 and the Seabees gathered in the refectory.
“Options, people,” Larkin said. “This Goa’uld has made the first strike on the village.”
“If you are asking if we should request more support from the SGC, then yes we should,” replied Bjornson. “But only one or two teams at a time.”
“I agree, but which teams do we send for and in which order?” asked McClendon.
Helena shrugged. “I’ve been too far out of the loop to know what is prudent to send. But we ought to keep whatever we ask for small and mobile,” she said.
“We need to gain air and space superiority,” Fairbairn pointed out.
“I know, but it’ll take time for the Aurora and whatever else General Carter can send us,” Larkin said.
“Which means we need some anti-aircraft defenses up on the ramparts. Rocket launchers and bazookas should do the job,” said Bjornson.

“I recall that Sergeants Murphy and McGuire of SG-4 are both proficient in heavy weapons,” Larkin said. “I briefly looked at their personnel files in my selection for our team.”
“We’re still waiting on Dr. McGregor’s autopsy,” Eule said. Larkin nodded.
“Our top and paramount priority is the protection of this village and keeping the Langford out of enemy hands,” said Larkin.
It was then that Fairbairn’s tablet beeped.
“We’ve got an incoming wormhole,” Fairbairn announced.
“MALP camera on the Gate,” Larkin ordered. “Put on the screen.”
“Aye sir,” Fairbairn. As soon as she did so SG-24 and the Seabees saw the Stargate kawoosh from behind the shield.
“IDC?” Larkin asked.
“None transmitted sir,” Fairbairn said.
They all watched a series of thuds hit the shield. It was standard protocol for a Goa’uld to send their Jaffa through the Stargate.
