Birgit Magee always dreamed of fame and fortune. She won Miss Tennessee (fictionally), but then she got pregnant with her daughter, Astrid, and ended up stuck in a small Tennessee town where her husband was a banker.
But when her fashion line was picked up by a home shopping channel, she started spending a lot of time doing TV appearances, and eventually, she and Astrid moved to the big city!
(She's also Haydee's mother, but that's really not important to this story.)
... I don't think we ever actually SEE Birgit, just hear about her, but she's definitely the sort of person who'd have lots of photos of herself all over her home.
