This was my favorite summer replacement show when I was a little kid. Looking back, not so good, but I did have terrible taste as a 5 year old. (who didn't?)

Some adult made the decision to green light this t urd, so, I think I'm off the hook, taste wise.

PS. Are you telling me you had a color TV at five? Must have been pretty well off.... Oh wait, you're 2-5 yrs younger than me possibly...so they were more common by then maybe... We DID get one when I was 9 I think. The first color show I ever saw when Dad turned it on that nite he brought it home was GENTLE BEN. Ever see that show? Live action show about a bear. Think it may have lasted two seasons .... Not the greatest, but a 9 year old could at least tolerate it.
When I was five my fave show was "Mack and Myer For Hire". This show looks a lot more colorful and fun!!
"Maw, I can I stay up until 9 to watch Star Trek? I did my homework."
I am a fan of the Gorn! At first I thought he was doing aerobics
Haha - great! I could watch for more than an hour...
I still have it, and I blame my 5-year-old self. - I love it! ^^

- Gorn, the cheap rubber suit Lizard Alien, wearing a glittery purple smoking jacket and weird Gorn cloth hot pants, gleefully hosting a television variety show, called "THE GORN HOUR!", he is on a live stage in front of a live audience with his hands out and his arms wide, lifting them up over and over ...
- Prompt audio
- a cheering television audience
