Murder

I'm sorry that I did this. The blood was on my hands. I stared at my reflection. I don't know who I am. I practiced my confession in case I took the stand. I'd say I learned my lesson and I'd be a better woman. I packed up my things and I wiped down the walls. I rinsed off my clothes and I walked through the halls. I did it all for her so I felt nothing at all. I didn’t know what she’d say so I asked her when she called. I heard the sirens coming and I saw the flashing lights. I was driving through the suburbs wearing my disguise. I showed up at her doorstep to look her in the eyes. I told her that it was me but she didn’t recognise. Couldn't she see I was running? I said I need a place to hide. I had to ask her something. Couldn't she just please let me inside? Couldn't she just let me explain. No, I wouldn't tell her lies. I followed her direction and did everything she asked. I hope that makes her happy 'cause there's just no turning back.
