Marlen Massey’s knuckles were white when she gripped the hallway railing. This wasn't how it was supposed to be. Her maze—her creation—had become her prison. A rival, envious of her success, had locked her within one of the very scenes she designed: a recreation of an asylum ward. The irony stung.
