Slavic goddess Zorya

Zorya is the goddess of the dawn. She appears as two aspects: Zorya Utrennyaya, the Morning Star, and Zorya Vechernyaya, the Evening Star. Together, they guard the Sun god, Dazbog, and guide his journey across the sky. Zorya Utrennyaya opens the gates of heaven at dawn, letting the sun out. Zorya Vechernyaya closes the gates at dusk, ensuring the sun's safe return. They also protect the world from the chaos of darkness. Zorya is seen as a symbol of protection, duty, and light. Her role ensures balance between night and day. Her celestial nature makes her a key figure in the cosmic order of the world.
