In memory of the approx. 329 members of the WAAF who died as a result of enemy action during WW2, and the over 1000 injured. Also remembering the brave women of ATS, ATA, WRNS, SOE and the Nursing Service who gave their lives too.
Very nice work! The military women of World War II Allied powers really faced some nasty and at times deadly stuff just like the fellas. And we mustn't forget the ladies who served in the years just afterward, when the Korean War broke out and the Cold War grew dangerously high in tensions (I've actually tried doing some works examining those ladies, including a rather wild thriller novel book cover concept starring a young 1950s US Army WAC and her friends going against Communist Bloc agents).
