Thank you.  I was trying to get the spurs and kloofs above Newlands between Pulpit Rock and Devil's Peak in the (due west) setting sun on the afternoon of 26 March 2020 (eve of lockdown).  I'd used the word "storm" in a previous version of the prompt.  When this popped up, it was not as I'd envisaged, but absolutely perfect for the atmosphere I'm trying to create in the writing.

"Richard Burton could as well have been singing about Cape Town until a few hours ago.

"Unseasonal ice had begun blasting in from the Southern Ocean as I enjoyed the last of the matinee through the kitchen window.  The shadow danced the finale, leaping kloof after ravine across the mountain stage.  I broke into silent applause at its final *grand jeté* over Devil's Peak and off into the wings.

"Today's had been the final performance.  Camelot would be no more.  The gusts had worked as frantically as we had, trying to finish dismantling the *mise-en-scène* before the deadline tonight."
