Maybe one day, with practice, I will be able to create a memorable portrait like this one. I have been trying my best to create a scene with a pretty 1950s housewife lighting the burner on her kitchen stove to start dinner, but I can't get it the way I want it. Either the burner lid in on, or it is an electric stove, or something doesn't look right ... I just want a simple country kitchen with an old four-burner gas stove, the kind that has to be lit manually (like the Melinda Dillon's in A Christmas Story). Any suggestions?
