The miracle in Lourdes

Our Lady of Lourdes (1858) Remembrance Day: 11 February A fourteen-year-old girl, Saint Bernadette Soubirous (1844-79), who would later become a nun with the order name Marie-Bernarde, insisted that between 11 February and 16 July 1858 she had experienced a total of eighteen apparitions of "a woman" in a grotto in the rock of Massabielle on the south side of the river Gave de Pau on the outskirts of her hometown of Lourdes. It is located on the north side of the Pyrenees in the French department of Hautes-Pyrénées in the Midi-Pyrénées
