Very interesting how it simplified this style on a Long Runtime! I've never used that feature, but the difference its startling! Would be useful for whimsy and naïve art, not so much for fine art styles maybe. Thanks DME for your explanation, you gave me food-for thought today! 💛👏✨

I've accumulated enough credits to experiment since there's little to tell me what using different functions, different models and different presets do. The only way I can find out is to experiment and keep notes what happens. Same with changing the weight of the refiner. The weights of prompt and noise is pretty obvious but not the refiner. I still haven't learned what the effect of that is from high to low weight. 

Mind you, a lot depends on the sort of image you want to end up with. It's not cut and dry since a lot is chance. For example, keeping all things equal, even the seed, if you opt to make 4 images at one time, they'll still all be somewhat different.

Presets to me just seem like older LoRAs that are now free to use. But  looking at the picture shown for each one doesn't always tell you what effect you'll get. I chose a simple prompt and using the same model made an image with each preset. Not only to see how it looks but to copy what's written for each one. For example, here I chose Neo Impressionist. The effect given is "neo-impressionism expressionist style oil painting, smooth post-impressionist impasto acrylic painting, thick layers of colourful textured paint". 

You can even play with that more by instead copying and pasting the words in a separate prompt field and increasing or decreasing the weight, or add or subtract more words.

I like to do things logically and methodically because I have a scientific mind but also because I have ADHD. If I don't attempt to make order in my life, I'm all over the place and can never achieve anything creative but only make a muddled mess with no direction.

I wanted to see what the image would look like with a long run-time instead of short. Everything else was the same including the seed. Some may like it. I don't.
