Writing

The feel of a book in your hand, of its pages turning through your fingers. The smell of new paper and ink and glue. The images dance through your mind as your eyes trail over the words on the page. You dance with them. You fight alongside them, a sword in your hand as you face off against the main villain. You sit beside them in their homes and listen to their stories, to their tales of adventure and lands just within your reach. You walk alongside them on mountain trails, in forests, and through the meadows where the sun gleams against golden grass and beautiful, vibrant flowers. You cry. You laugh. You bleed You heal. But when the last page is turned, And you come back into reality, You realize. There are more characters waiting for you.
