Where to start? I'll admit readily they probably partake a bit too liberally of the cortical-stims provided them by the First Corporate Alliance Chemvantage Department. There's not really enough oversight of that department.
Training? They're definitely trained. As far as I know they drop them on the jungle planet of Heugen with a water purifier and a dozen stims and whomever makes it to the operating base is issued the standard MANTIS Exosuit and a magnetically accelerated railgun. Anyone who survives learning to fire that thing ends up in Mantis Corps.
Then there's Gustavo Gander.. honestly I don't think he even speaks Basic, it's like some weird mix of Catalan and Cantonese, all I know is he shoots at everything, gets the Squad fired up and somehow wins battles. Send him to the colonies on the Verden Cluster, give him another crate of stims."
