Gulgars are large monstrous humanoids from temperate mountain ranges. Standing over 6 feet tall and weighing between 250 to 350 pounds, they possess dark gray skin, with males darkening and females paling as they age. They have thick, long heads with rhinoceros-like ears, small black eyes, and a thick crystalline horn on their chin. Their skin has crystalline protrusions from their knuckles, chin, and shoulders. Gulgars communicate through subsonic speech, inaudible to most beings, and are known for their powerful sonic pulse attack. They often ride and tame yrthaks, magical beasts that they use as mounts and for combat.
