From the Fog.

Suddenly, I saw a dark figure emerge from the mist. It was tall and slender, wearing a long cloak that covered its body. Its face was hidden in the shadows of its hood. It stopped a few meters away from me and stared at me with unseen eyes. I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized that there was no sign of anyone else around. Who was this mysterious stranger? What did it want from me?

I tried to speak, but no words came out of my mouth. I felt paralyzed by fear and curiosity. The figure took a step closer to me, and then another. It reached out its hand towards me, as if to touch me. I wanted to run, but my legs wouldn’t move. I was trapped in its spell.

The figure was now right in front of me, its face still hidden by the hood. It leaned in closer, until I could feel its breath on my neck. It whispered in my ear, in a voice that sounded familiar and terrifying at the same time:

“Hello, old friend. It’s been a long time.”
