Kàabas, Soil Goddess

Kàabas desired a daughter above all things, so when Moon Mother's tears created the innocent Koré, Kàabas took her under her wing. She knew that her sister, Śenheb, would also want a child once she knew of Koré, so Kàabas hid the innocent girl and helped her grow. When Áïdes captured the maiden's heart, Kàabas spent many months storming and hiding in intervals. Only when Koré returned to visit her did Kàabas truly live again. One day, Śenheb learned of Kàabas' daughter and whispered a betrayal into the ear of her husband. Later, when Áïdes lay dying, Śenheb whispered again, a salvation and sacrifice, into Koré's ear.
