Tower of Cirith Ungol

The Tower of Cirith Ungol is a looming, sinister fortress located on the pass into Mordor, near Minas Morgul. Built by Gondor to guard against Sauron’s forces, it later fell into enemy hands. The tower is dark and forbidding, with jagged stone walls and iron gates, inhabited by orcs and guarded fiercely. It overlooks the perilous path through the Ephel Dúath mountains and is notorious for housing the giant spider Shelob, who lurks nearby, making it a dangerous and feared place.
