I tried to make the video move  r e a l l y  s l o w  : I have it zoom out 5%, the smallest amount allowable, just to have some slight motion.  10fps—give or take a frame—and 5 iterations per frame (which is as low as it can go) seems about right to give it that shimmer effect, like a ghost coalescing from the aether 🙂
