But as the night drew to a close,
And dawn began to break,
Batman's thoughts turned to those he knows,
And the loved ones he must forsake.

For he is the protector of the city,
The guardian of the night.
But on this Christmas Eve, so pretty,
He longs to be with loved ones, out of sight.
