Scrimshaw Sailing Ship on Whale Tooth
This image shows a meticulously detailed scrimshaw carving of a square-rigged sailing ship approaching a tranquil island cove. The black etching on polished whale tooth evokes 19th-century maritime art.

Nice, Charlie! Isn't what ordinary sailors and whalers created amazing? The level of skill and artistry in a good number are jaw-dropping, especially considering they didn't have much in the way of tools, generally large needles, and the movement of the sailing ship.
