An unseen operator selected and enlarged Grathik's crystalcast on Amara's screen, and presumably that of the amphitheatre for the assembled command staffs there. Grathik's ears wiggled as he began speaking.

"Admiral D'Iræ and myself vouch for the account of Hiri Tonotak, chosen to represent the Quind Field Clans. He offers an exchange of information and a request for talks, but today requests to bring specific intelligence to this body as a whole. I and 3rd Group have verified the data's authenticity."

"I see." Grand Admiral Davlion, Fleets Commander, removed his dated uniform cap and paced the floor of the amphitheatre in a subscreen of Amara's display. "Admiral D'Iræ, this guest is under your purview?"

"Tonotak has received me himself, quite honorably," Amara said without hesitation, despite revelation of the off-the-books encounter. "I'm very curious to see his information and wouldn't doubt it."
