Image produite par l'IA à ma question :"How is... now?" et n'a pas été sélectionnée dans la série. Il s'agit d'un ratage et l'IA en a produit un bon nombre.
What happened to Indonesia that made Bing portray a woman covered in... ?ash? dust? flour? minerals? This is truly a confusing characterisation, even moreso than some of the others. Of course you can easily claim "this is merely the observation of Dall-E3" but there's something about what one chooses to share and label and what happens when others see and interpret the results of such images too. Perhaps my perspective differs from most users on this platform in that I find myself questioning not only what the image models will produce when given prompts using cultures, nationalities and ethnic groups and settings but also what responsibility users have to consider whether the outcomes are fair representations or somehow misinterpretations based on prompting and on the image data-sets used. I feel users ought to have some agency and consider whether labelling images with nationalities, cultures or ethnicities they don't reflect only amplifies misinterpretation and misrepresentation.
