Robot of the Red Planet

A planet was found on which the organic life had long since died away, supplanted by their robot servants. The robots roamed forlornly across the planet's hills and plains, mining materials and sucking the last energy sources from the husk of the ruined civilisation, in order the maintain themselves and their factories. The distant star's dim light slanted through the stale atmosphere of the planet, suffusing the place with a murky, red glow.
