Buried Queen Saga: Chapter 13 : Timeline (Some Time After Lior Joins Seraphina's Cause)

In a cozy cottage atop the mountains owned by Aurelius, the gloomy morning seemed to seep into the very walls. Aurelius and Lior busied themselves making breakfast, while Seraphina, or Ina as Aurelius called her—still in the dark about her identity—sat at the table, her mood as gray as the weather outside.

Lior, while checking on the tea, leaned closer to Aurelius and whispered, "Have you noticed Ina's condition?"

Aurelius nodded, concern etched on her face, and promised to ask about it.

With the breakfast ready, Aurelius served Ina and gently touched her shoulder. "Ina, are you feeling alright?" She asked softly.

Ina met her concerned eyes, staring blankly for a few moments before her lips trembled, her chin quivered, and a sob escaped her rosy lips.

Lior couldn't believe his eyes. He never thought a person as strong as Seraphina would ever cry in front of someone.
