I was looking for info about this as well. The quality of SD1.5 images are horrible compared to what they used to be, and no explanation has been given. I found this creation when I tried to google "nightcafe sd1.5 downgraded". If I evolve from an old good sd1.5 image it will mostly retain the quality to a certain degrees, but every time you duplicate or create a new with a good prompt it turns out horrible. Go figure. 

Thanks for the comment... glad to confirm, at least, that it's not just me doing something wrong 😄.  It's been a big bummer cuz I spent a lot of time and $$$ cultivating some very particular & unique styles that I was proud of, and now it's impossible to recreate or continue tweaking those.  The results I get with the "new back end" are either garbage or cheesy, and I don't have the patience to tinker with it like i used to.  I have way more fun with Dall-E-3, and at least i have plenty of old good stuff to look back at.

I see, it's the new back-end? I wondered what was wrong myself. Many times I use SD1.5 to save credits or get a variation that is not provided with Dreamshaper8, which I can evolve with one of the SDXL models. Now it's much harder to get anything useful with SD1.5, especially with the K_LMS sampling method. I hope they fix it. Thanks for the tip!
