This image was created for two challenges at once. One challenge was calling for a mosaic, and another was calling for an Elven Queen. I'd never even attempted a mosaic creation before. I decided to combine the two ideas, and then submit the same result to both challenges, and see what happened.

(Note: One thing that happened was that the final draft, the one I submitted, didn't show any classic pointy-tipped elf-ears sticking out from the Queen's black hair. I later tried to fix that detail, and burned some credits in inpainting efforts that failed to do a satisfactory job. Finally gave up and said to myself, "Okay, so her long black hair completely covers her ears. That doesn't mean she's not an elf, does it?)
