Many years after the events I extensively recounted in my Visual Short Story "Floodland" (below is the dedicated collection, for those who would like to read it) ⤵

the inhabitants reclaimed the Great City from which they had fled and, with great ingenuity and skill, built tall palaces on top of the ancient ones now submerged by the waters.

Gone were the days of mountainside games and sudden waterfalls. As the decades passed, the city grew in height and became more and more modern.
