So beautiful, her hair is alive with decorative swirls and patterns. It draws my attention away from the intensity of her gaze. The comments by Vincent Price are thought provoking. I wonder what kind of legacy we’ll leave behind for future generations. How many back-up drives will survive to reveal the millions of digital archives we’ve all poured our time into? How much data will be lost? I wonder how many of these artworks ever make it into a tangible format? I can’t even retrieve the last few photos from my old phone because the cables are no longer compatible, imagine what we’re going to lose because technology marches on we can’t keep up? What will be left for future generations to learn of us?

Price was a fascinating person. We know him from his performances but his lesser known vocation was art collector and curator.  His writings on art and culture are wonderul, inspirping reads.

I wonder if anything digital will survive this century.  One unfortunately aimed solar flare and it's *all* gone. The Carrington Event should *not* be as forgotten as we've allowed it to be. But perhaps that how it should be. Artists will return to producing inages with ash and ochre again. Not such a terrible thought!

It’s a reminder of how ephemeral digital really is. There’s a lot to be said for old-school craftsmanship. It’s tangible and simple because it’s physical.
