Tidalpunk imagines a hopeful future where humanity has learned to build with the sea, rather than against it, in a world that’s made peace with the power of water. It includes (but is not limited to) these motifs and themes:
- Floating adaptive architecture, hybrid power arrays, aquaculture gardens
- Living coral reef habitats, bioluminescent lighting to mimic deep-sea life
- Restored reef nurseries, submersible transit pods, seagrass farms
- Wave energy converters, water purification systems, bio-based materials
- Tidal markets, marine researchers, lunar cycle festivals, quick-dry fabrics or wetsuits
Images breaking NightCafe community standards will be rejected.
