Based on the true story, Marisha's Story, 6 images follows a life shaped by HAPPINESS, SADNESS, YEARNING, LOVE and HOPE.

In May 1926, Patsykiv, Ukraine, HAPPINESS was simple as three-year-old Marisha sat in a cherry tree, watching her family. By August, this shifted to SADNESS & LOSS when she was orphaned, forced to leave her home with her brother, Wasyl. By March 1942, the war brought ANGER as they were deported from their village, a childhood friend fleeing into the shadows behind them. In April 1942, while enduring forced labor in Bödefeld, a deep YEARNING for home defined their daily struggle. Yet, amidst the cold of February 1945, LOVE bloomed in the secret bond Marisha formed with Joseph. Finally, with liberation by American forces in 1945, Marisha stood on the threshold of a new life, carrying the promise of a child and walking toward a future defined by HOPE.
