When you sit down at a table in his tavern, the Innkeeper is more than happy to share an ale and a tale with you. Aeron used to be a ranger, living on the outskirts of civilisation. He mainly worked in the wilds of the forest, protecting small villages from wild rampaging monsters - and protecting those same monsters from unscrupulous hunters who would stir the beasts into mischief and mayhem. Nowadays, his human knees can't take the wild trips, and his back needs a softer place to sleep. He has found pleasure in cooking over a tavern fire, instead of a campfire. The herbs provide just as fine a conversation as the old trees of the forest, and the village dogs need just as much minding as the forest beasts do. It's a pleasant and fulfilling retirement.
