Cathy Horvath-Buchanan (? – ) is a Canadian artist, who is known for her unique amalgamation of colourful Folk Art, viewed through the lens of a graphic, realistic style. Her art style evolved from serious and realistic works with muted grey tones to vibrant, cheerful pieces that bring joy into homes. Buchanan’s technique allows for the use of bright colours, simplicity of form, and fine detail. She creates what she calls “magic perspective”, enabling viewers to observe the scene from multiple points simultaneously. Her materials of choice are acrylic paint on canvas.
