This is a Caretta-Caretta sea turtle in her habitat. I had the luck to see many of them in the Sicilian islands of Lampedusa, Pantelleria and Favignana.
Right now, the Caretta-Caretta is at risk of extinction due to fishing nets and plastic pollution in the Mediterranean Sea.

Oh my goodness, I love this. I'm still cutting up the plastic between bottles/cans so it doesn't strangle the sea life. Hopefully that was just an 80's thing?
